Back on track!

I promise, I have been knitting lately, I just haven't been talking about it since I've made every size of the pattern I'm submitting to Knitty (and there are four sizes) plus some additional in the adult-size, so I don't really wanna talk about it. To take a break from hats, I started Baby Bobbi Bear, and as soon as I have some polyfill I'm gonna finish that bad boy! Here's my progress thus far:

The pattern suggests finishing the head and then stuffing him through the armhole openings before adding the arms, but I think it will be easier to go ahead and do some of my stuffing from the head. I'm down to stuffing, head decreases, arms and embroidering a face, then he'll be finished!

Of course, I can tell that I will end up with some extra Organic Cotton, and since the idea of beginning on the bedspread for Craig and I doesn't thrill me too much right now, I decided to start on something for me. (Besides, I've been all moody lately. I need to knit something for myself.) The pattern is another one from Blue Sky Alpacas, the Eyelet Cardigan. I am over halfway through the bust increases on one of the front pieces, although since it's a pretty short cardigan that's not too much progress. I was just starting the bust decreases the other day, but I thought it looked too big. When I measured it against a cardigan that fits me well, I saw that I was right -- so I ripped it out and started over. At least if it's too small, my sister can wear it. Here I am showcasing my progress and pretending to be a bandit:

Plus a close-up of the eyelet pattern:

By the way, I apologize for the poor picture quality. Using Photo Booth is just a lot easier than taking out the camera, taking pictures, then loading the pictures onto the computer.

Of course, I can't go a whole post without some baby talk. For those of you that frequent the Knit Nook, you have probably heard me say that at my last doctor's visit she suggested I visit a cardiologist to check out my rapid heart beat. Today was the cardiologist visit, and as of Wednesday I'll have to wear a heart monitor. It's probably nothing to worry about, but with a baby on the way it's much better to be safe than sorry!! She agreed that my heart rate was abnormally fast, but it shouldn't cause any problems as long as my heart is functioning normally otherwise. Maybe I can use this as an excuse to knit more (knitting is relaxing, it should decrease your heart rate, right?)

That's all for now!

Awww... I remember a couple summers ago, when just about everyone at the Knit Nook was knitting those bears. *sniffle* Now I feel all nostalgic. Why didn't I ever make one? Well, maybe I can start one in pink or blue after tomorrow. :^) Hope wearing a heart monitor isn't too big of a pain in the ass!
