As Kristin pointed out, I am teaching quite a few Knit Nook classes this semester. To enroll in one of these classes, call the Knit Nook at 502/452.1919. Cables

Cost: $35 + materials
Description: Untangle cables while making this adorable hat (a Shizknit original!) in the process.
Dates: Friday, February 8 and 15, 6-8 pm OR Friday, May 23 and 30, 6-8 pm
Materials: US 11 needles, 16 inch circular and double pointed, 85 yards of bulky weight yarn
Pattern included in class fee

Baby Surprise Jacket
Cost:$55 + materials
Description:Knit in garter stitch, flat, and in one piece, this sweater is cleverly shaped with short rows: a true Elizabeth Zimmerman classic. Use a variegated yarn or multiple colors to emphasize the mitered fronts.
Dates:Sunday, February 10, 17, 24 and March 2, 6-8 pm OR Sunday, June 29, July 6, 13, and 20, 6-8 pm
Materials: 650 yards of DK or worsted weight yarn, US 7 needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Pattern included with class fee

Itty Bitty Hats
Cost: $45 + materials
Description: That special baby deserves handmade, but your skills aren't up to the challenge? Make any of the hats in Susan Anderson's book, and you'll be the hit of any baby shower.
Dates: Sunday, March 9, 16, and 23, 6-8 pm
Materials: Itty Bitty Hats, yarn and needles for chosen project

Stuffed Animal

Cost: $45 + materials
Description: For your next baby gift, don't labor on a baby afghan or worry about infant sweater sizing. Stuffed animals are fun to knit, require little yarn or time, and appropriate for all sizes and ages. Choose one of the adorable patterns in Tracy Chapman's book Toys to Knit.
Dates: Sunday, March 30, April 6 and 13, 6-8 pm
Materials: Toys to Knit, yarn and needles for chosen project

February Sweater
Cost: $45 + materials
Description: This is a classic lace baby sweater with an Elizabeth Zimmerman twist. Made top down on straight needles, this is a great introduction to both sweater making and lace knitting.
Dates: Sunday, April 20, 27 and May 4, 6-8 pm
Materials: 350 yards of DK weight yarn, US 5 needles or size needed to obtain gauge, Knitter's Almanac

Bonnet and Booties
Cost: $45 + materials
Description: It's the meat and potatoes of any baby layette. Learn how to shape with short rows, increases and decreases.
Dates: Sunday, May 11, 18 and 25, 6-8 pm
Materials: Pattern included with class fee. Ask about materials when registering.

Top-Down Sweater
Cost: $55 + materials
Description: Afraid of commitment, particularly when it comes to sweater-knitting? Try it top down and in the round! Once you practice this technique on an infant scale, you'll be ready to tackle a you-sized version in no time.
Dates: Sunday, June 1, 8, 15 and 22, 6-8 pm
Materials: Pattern included in class fee. Ask about materials when registering. Please have yarn, needles and gauge swatch ready for first day of class.

Private Lessons
Cost: $20 per hour / Special group rates
Description: Whether you're just learning to knit or want to try a new technique, a private lesson is for you. Do you have a girl scout group, birthday party, or girl's night in planned? Knitting would be the perfect activity for your event!
