Sales are awesome. Especially when you have a small child!
Ruth alerted me to the fact that Knit Picks had all of their in-stock books 40 percent off! So I zoomed over there, drooled over every single book, and chose three:
Sweater Design in Plain English, Knitting in the Old Way, and Design Your Own Knits. Each of these books is going to add something different to my designing, so I think I made good choices. I really wanted to buy more - Knitting Around and a Barbara Walker Treasury or two - but I can always get those at the Knit Nook.
Speaking of the Knit Nook, I practiced great restraint at the Knit Nook sale. I did buy some yarn I'm itching to start knitting with:
It's six balls of Rowan Classic Yarn Cashsoft DK in Lichen. The sun kept going in when I was attempting to take pictures, for a more accurate image of the color you can click the link above. This yarn is going to turn into a Benny Goodman-esque sweater vest for my husband's birthday.
Lots to do, so I must get off the computer! But I couldn't resist sharing.
