Free Pattern: Soft Chunky Scarf

A little later than I had hoped, but here's the Soft Chunky Scarf pattern as promised.
The yarn for the sample was graciously provided by Classic Elite.

SIZE
One size fits most adults.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Width: 5 inches
Length: 94 inches or desired length, not including fringe

MATERIALS
Twinkle Handknits Soft Chunky [100% virgin wool; 83 yd per 200 g hank]; 2 hanks color no. 23 Haze
US #19/15 mm needles
Tapestry needle

If fringe is desired, you will also need a DVD case, scissors and a large crochet hook

GAUGE
9 sts = 4" in 1 x 1 rib (un-stretched)

PATTERN NOTES

PATTERN
Scarf
CO 11 sts.

Row 1: K1, *p1, k1, rep from * to end of row.
Row 2: P1, *k1, p1, rep from * to end of row.

Rep rows 1 and 2 for 94 inches or desired length.

BO.

Finishing
Weave in ends.

Attach fringe if desired. To attach fringe,*wrap yarn around a DVD case thirty times and cut one side, creating thirty strands. Separate strands into five groups of six. Use crochet hook to affix each group evenly spaced on one end of scarf. Trim strands so they are all the same length. Rep from * for other end of scarf.
