No matter how much you love your job, work is still . . . well, work. Right now, every single work in progress on my needles is a "work" project, either a design or a class sample. Don't get me wrong, I love knitting each of these items, but there's something to be said about knitting without a timeframe or professional objective.

The key to not getting burnt out, I think, is using really wonderful yarns. Enter Madelinetosh Pashmina. This merino/silk/cashmere blend feels heavenly, and it is impossible to capture the depth of color on camera. (The color is called Mica.) Since I can't share what I'm knitting with it, I thought I would at least extoll the virtues of the yarn. Some may call this pricey at a MSRP of $30 per hank, but when you consider the generous yardage (360 yards) it really isn't bad at all.
I hope you love what I'm making with it! You'll have to wait a few months to see . . .
